SHE TELLS IT LIKE IT IS

In case you missed it, Ruthanne Wolfe had an excellent letter to the Tribune Aug. 11. She was responding to the many people who are crying "Socialized Medicine".

The title in the paper was "Reader explains benefits of health care reform" That is an apt description. She explains that Medicare is a public option as well as VA benefits. She also sheds light on the greedy CEO's who are the people who are actually ruining our health care system.

I urge everyone to read her letter. It will educate you and make you think.

thanks

Shirley

Those who elected Hoyer and Conyers should vote to impeach these two clowns. They laugh laugh at you when they think it's humorous not to read any of the bills.

Included in this mix Baron Hill should be crying.

These people believe you are all ignorant, stupid, irrelevant, serfs and slaves to their wishes.

An old proverb says, "Haste makes waste." The proof is in the stimulus bill.

The Good Lord Jesus himself could magically appear on capital hill with a miraculus solution to the health care crisis, and yet the same ones who blast every effort would find some way to criticize....

More than likely something along the lines of " Oh! So this Jesus guy expects us to take HIS healthcare bill, and we have to pay for it, yet he and his croney Lazarus get a free ride and resurrection, until we ALL get resurrection to hell with his bill!"

And ugly truth here is the fact that certain factions will never be happy, and will always want to blame someone and have some reason to make a public gluteus of themselves.

I would love to invite anyone one of these yahoos who think there is no need for change to fill out the HIPAA confidentiality contract, and volunteer a few days at the clinic, perhaps their perspective would change a little bit, and yes that is a DIRECT challenge to any one who feels there is no need for healthcare reform of some sort.

* on a side note, I am no big fan of Baron Hill, but I have to say that man has been a strong supportor and advocate for our local community health centers, both locally and in D.C., which is much much more than could be said of Sodrel.

All right. I've been convinced. Government involvement in health care can never be a good thing.

Where is the petition for me to sign to do away with Medicare? I just know private health insurers will be rushing to provide affordable health insurance for all of our elderly citizens. C'mon, let's hear it!! All together now, "Down with Medicare. Down with Medicare!"

Everyone knows that the only thing an insurance company cares about is our well being. Right?

Thank you Roger for investing in downtown. Since you put your business in an existing neighborhood instead of out on Charlestown Rd., the city saves money. No new sewer lines had to be installed at Bank St. No new roads had to be built. City inspectors (and volunteer ones too) don't have to waste gas driving 10 extra minutes each time they need to check out your pad. The list goes on. In addition to adding to the tax base in the city, you have saved the city money your choice of location. We the little people owe you one!

Is “No New Taxes, No New Fees” code words for racist agenda in New Albany?

Is it New Albany’s version of Reagan’s “Southern Strategy.” Let’s read how Lee Atwater the Southern Streategy.

Atwater: As to the whole Southern strategy that Harry Dent and others put together in 1968, opposition to the Voting Rights Act would have been a central part of keeping the South. Now [the new Southern Strategy of Ronald Reagan] doesn’t have to do that. All you have to do to keep the South is for Reagan to run in place on the issues he’s campaigned on since 1964… and that’s fiscal conservatism, balancing the budget, cut taxes, you know, the whole cluster...

Questioner: But the fact is, isn’t it, that Reagan does get to the Wallace voter and to the racist side of the Wallace voter by doing away with legal services, by cutting down on food stamps...?

Atwater: You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can't say “nigger”—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites.

Freedom of Speech is entitled to give opinions/views concerning the mayor and his adminstration. It is one that other citizens of the community share with them.

And it is health to argue what is best for New. But it is wrong of NAC/Editor to accuse FOS of lack of conscience and other statements you made simply because they do not share your opinion's Roger.

You must have your boxers to tight over your head. Because you sure talk out of both sides of your mouth.

And, unlike you Roger, several people support FOS for staying and exposing with facts the real truth about local government in our community.

Unlike NAC blog.

Albert Einstein once said, "If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts," and that is what you at NAC/Editor are doing, changing the facts to fit the mayors agenda and for your own personal gain.

FOS'ers
A couple of simple questions to answer, and simple yes or no answers will suffice:

1) Do you support improved services for the citiznes of New Albany?

2) Do you believe that the value of a dollar does not go as far as it did even 5 years ago?

3) can New Albany even continue as is with out increased funding from somewhere?

4) Is it possible with out $5 increases here, and $2.50 increases there, that it is at all possible that we as a city will see more blight, more problems, more potholes, more EPA fines, increased crime rates, more decrease in education quality?

I am not at all against people speaking their minds, or sharing their opinions, innovation is often found in civil confrontation, but the reality is, anyone who dares to utter anything against what FOS says, or any of the anonymous horde says is subjegated to personal attacks, veiled threats, ridicule and name calling.

So I pose, in the spirit of debate, those questions above, and hoping to have civil responses of simple yes or no and a brief explaination as to why they are answered as is?

The New Albanian said...

Chris, I know you're logical and well-intentioned, but you're mistakenly assuming that this collection of Internet trolls, embittered fossils and anonymous backstabbers has any interest in civility or fairness.

It doesn't. It's freedom of their "speech", the pre-eminince of their "facts", and the shouting down of dissenters in the name of God, mom and apple pie.

Fortunately for the future of civilization, they are few in number, although congenitally loud and ill-mannered, and demographical trends will soon bury them. That's why I don't take the rabble and their babble seriously.

It is a cycle I can not, no matter how I try, come to undertand with out some civil conversation.
I am not holding my breath waiting for that to occur, if anything I will probably be basjed for how ashamed my dad would be of me, or how they "know" all about me and it would be advisable to "keep my mouth shut".....

Christopher D questions:

1) Do you support improved services for the citizens of New Albany?
Just don’t improve for one but then hurt someone else. Like when the drainage in the Fairmont neighborhood was fixed and was then poured into Fall Run Creek and harmed the creek and the property of the people who live there.

2) Do you believe that the value of a dollar does not go as far as it did even 5 years ago?
I think a house for sale in New Albany today costs as much (or less) today, as it did 5 years ago. Value of my stocks was higher 5 years ago, compared to today.

3) Can New Albany even continue as is with out increased funding from somewhere?
If citizens cannot get increased funding from Social Security, their retirement funds or their employers, yes I still see them "continuing" to live. Still doing without, as many have for years now, but ... Oh, did you mean the "CITY” of New Albany? Well yes, the city can continue. Just go pay for a copy of the budget and get out your red pen and calculator. Go look at the claims submitted. Have that discussion with your City Council Members (who are the ones who pass the budgets) and your Mayor. You know, the talks we have all had with our children about finances. This whole country has run up a huge "credit card" debit and someone is going to have to pay the piper. I hope citizens and cities realize they need to live within their means. You know that rainy day you should have saved for? Well the past few rainstorms should prove that rainy day has come. WHERE IS THAT MONEY for those rainy days? I think it was used to shore up the overspending on budgets.

4) Is it possible without $5 increases here, and $2.50 increases there, that it is at all possible that we as a city will see more blight, more problems, more potholes, more EPA fines, increased crime rates, more decrease in education quality?
This question could take days to really answer! Since Doug England first became Mayor and signed that first Consent Decree about the sanitary sewers with the Department of Justice in 1993, how many increases here and there do you think the citizens of New Albany have paid and are continuing to pay until 2018. Ask for a printout of indebtedness, including fees and interest. How many times have engineers “fixed” the sewers this time? Are the sewers fixed, or do the problems just keep moving up and down the lines? (EPA fines) Will the newly paved streets be torn up (potholes) by sewer work, as usual? Were the storm water catch basins and drains fixed before paving?

Sometimes, just throwing more money at the problems is not the answer. First, you better get to the root of your problems.

Shirley, it was very clear from my post that my "opinions" were satirical statements. I thought the line about Coffey and Price running a dog fighting ring with puppies stolen from orphans or the line about C.F.A. being a money laundering operation for drug traffickers, among other ridiculous statements, made it clear that this was not a literal post. The post even included an introduction stating, in effect, that if F.O.S. is entitled to its own make believe facts, so am I.

I want an honest debate. You can't have an enough debate with Professor Eric, a fake person who spreads fake rumors and uses fake numbers. Until we can agree on facts, everything else is just pointless. Otherwise, we're just talking about fairy tales.

As the post clearly indicated, if she can have her own "facts," so can everyone else. If she continues to make us her own "facts," maybe others will too.

which office is the PAC registered with?

Christopher D said...

Susan,
Thank you for your answers.
With those answers comes a significant question.

How do we get to the root of the problem(s) when so much energy is expended arguing and fighting with other citizens, who basically want the same thing?
The approaches may be different, but in the end I think both groups want fair and equal representation in City Government, adequate services rendered for reasonable fees charged, and above all else transparancy in government.
Would you not agree?

As it stands now, members of CFA have not been forthcoming with simple answers to simple questions.
Even something as simple as how does a person join? exactly what does CFA stand for, who are the charter members and executives of the PAC?

If we all demand transparancy of government, then we should also have the same standards set for those who would change government.

I am not a member of any "group", and even though I have often been labeled as such, I am no ones toy, but I fight for what matters, to the best of my ability when it will not negatively effect the 501(c)3 status for the organization that I work for.

again, though, thank you for stepping forward to open this dialog, and I hope it can continue.

Satire and its place within the framework of “free speech” are examples of those pesky “rules” that the so-called little people selectively ignore even as they proclaim the importance of those random “rules” that they’re willing to acknowledge. It’s a tad hypocritical to pick and choose which rules to follow, isn’t it?

Having tolerated numerous anonymous attacks on known entities, only now does Shirley become alarmed and upset at what she incorrectly views as libel or slander (really?), and feels the need to protect one of her cohorts who famously lies about who she really is and spends most of her waking hours perpetuating fables just as scurrilous as the ones Shirley incorrectly deleted.

Belatedly, there is a feeling of violation. Those of us regularly pelted with stones by people too cowardly to reveal their identities know exactly what that feels like, Shirley. Your treatment of it might be assisted by being in someone else’s shoes for a while. You're able to do it when it comes to the need for health care reform. Why are you not able to do it in this instance?

Yes, it’s Shirley’s blog, and she can do as she pleases. But it is regrettable that she just can’t quite come to see that anonymity and its first cousin, cowardice, constitute the pollution spoiling her nice, neat, sincere pond. When pressed, she censors using differing justifications that rely on her personal prejudices, not the immutable precepts that remain consistent irrespective of the “side.”

She comes so tantalizingly close to getting it, and then is snared again by the same restraints. Regrettable, indeed, because she only abets the rage of the little people, this being the factor that will always prevent them from getting anywhere.

I didn't write Chuck's words, because I don't do anonymous, 'cuz it isn't right. But if Chuck tells me who he or she is, I can reprint them at NAC with a clear conscience.

On that note, and not intending to be argumentative, when I was forced to kiss the gunners daughter (god I love that old phrase), and one of the anonymous horde slandered me, my family, and my dead father, the comments stood unchecked, when they went further to say that they "know all about me and my family" and immediately followed that comment up that I should keep my mouth shut.
I personally equate that to be quiet or your family will pay the price.
I try to stay neutral as much as possible for the most part, but in this instance I have to agree that selective enforcement of "rules" only serves to embolden those who only want to be disruptive and argumentative, on a blog where a true functional dialog could be started.

Anonymous bloggers on this site have accused Roger, Mayor England, Gonder and others of multiple felonies. Crimes! Not murder, but other felonies such as embezzlement, corruption, kickbacks, etc.

We keep reading that there are tapes and that the FBI is investigating. We keep reading that but we never see the proof. We just read more allegations of criminal misconduct. Sometimes, when someone asks for proof of the crimes before leading the lynching, that someone is himself accused of criminal acts. This is absurd.

I have decided something.

If F.O.S. and C.F.A. and Vickie and going to accuse Roger, accuse the Mayor, accuse anyone else of a crime without providing proof, I’m going to accuse F.O.S. and C.F.A. and Vickie of a crime.

If F.O.S. and C.F.A. and Vickie are going to defame people, I’m going to defame F.O.S. and C.F.A. and Vickie.

If F.O.S. and C.F.A. and Vickie are going to make up “facts” about others, I’m going to make up facts about them.

An eye for an eye.

A tooth for a tooth.

A slander for a slander.

A lie for a lie.

The only difference is that mine will be done in a manner that is clearly satirical. Maybe someone finally will get the point.

Why should it be any other way?

We need to remember that if CFA, and FOS, along with any representatives of either make allegations of criminal misconduct perpetrated by any of our elected officials, even if they offer "proof" of such actions, those named as committing wrong doing are still not guilty of anything, and will remain such until a time that a jury of their peers find them guilty.
Even if such, to this point, baseless accusations lead to investigations, arrests, and indictments, those individuals are STILL innocent of any crimes until deemed guilty by a jury of their peers.
We all must also remember that until such a time that credible evidence that conclusively supports the accusations being made is brought forward and tested in a suitable manner to provfe its validity, it is nothing more than heresy.
And should those parties who have been the victim of defamation, and baseless accusations choose to pursue a civil lawsuit against the authors of such regurgitated baseless bile, the ability to quickly and easily find the authors of such comments is easily obtained by trakcing down the I.P. address that IS attached to the anonymous comments and stored on servers.
Investigators could obtain this information with little or no problem.
In the age of information, no matter how slick a person thinks they are, and no matter how anonymous they think they are, in truth, they are not. There is always a trail that leads back to the author in the information age.

But we need to break away from this, and the best way to do so is to pay absolutely no attention to posts made by those who would defame anyone while choosing to remain anonymous.
If you take the food that internet trolls feed on away, they will move on.

If I may be so bold as to chime in here.
In so far as people having something to say, with out having a blogger account, and the need to post "anon", they can at least sign a name, any name to it.
But where the line should be drawn is naming specific people, making accusations of criminal wrong doing, and not having the intestinal fortitude to even go so far as to put a name, even a fake one to it.
Though this is a local blog, some of the things being said can be VERY damaging to a persons trustworthiness, reputation, even careers.
Alledging felonious acts, even if never proven in a court a law, and even if never presensted with an ioda of evidence to back it up, can be quite damning to a person, and for years to come.
It is cowardly at best, and completely reckless, disrespectful, and done with the intent to cause damage to ones name.
At least if a person make such staements in a public forum such as this and is expected to give their name, either publicly or to the blog administrator, if their actions indeed causes real harm and damage to the person they are blogging about, then if nothing else should the victim, and make no mistakes this is victimization, can have the recourse of having their name cleared in a court of law.
Personally, I find such behavior juvenile, opprobrious, and counter to any good that the authors, who by their own words are supposed to be fighting for the "little people". Inimicalnes at its finest

Then you make a sad feeble attempt to justify your contradictions and hypocrisy i.e. “I didn't write Chuck's words, because I don't do anonymous, 'cuz it isn't right. But if Chuck tells me who he or she is, I can reprint them at NAC with a clear conscience.”

Then you contradict yourself again on telling Shirley how she should administer her blog

Shirley censors but makes no rules about it. That is not a contradiction nor hypocritical

Just because you put your name to thing doesn't make the hatred you put out any better this again is hypocrisy.

It is easy to contradict yourself but it takes effort to be a hypocrite

Instead of telling other blog admin how they should run their blog go and improve your own.

What do you want to debate about? You say you know who I am come on over bring you friends you will need them.

Get your facts straight. Roger has never claimed not to delete comments. He has a rule. He sticks to that rule. It's not hypocritical to stick to a particular rule.

“It’s a tad hypocritical to pick and choose which rules to follow, isn’t it?”

Roger you should be an expert on hypocrites the name and rules on your blog are contradictions of their own

Hmmmm..... RemCha must be a card carrying member of Friends of F.O.S. The tactic sounds familiar. Instead of discussing the issue, he changes the topic and points the finger at someone else.

What are you talking about? Are you accusing Roger of blogging hatred? The only hatred I've seen has come from anonymous bloggers here and from F.O.S. If you have an example of NAC fostered hatred, point to it and let's discussed.

Shirley doesn't have the ability to stop F.O.S. She DOES have the ability to stop and/or delete anonymous hate filled posts on this blog.

Yes Shirley, please don't go anonymous free. I want you to protect my right to post irresponsible and reprehensible comments. I mean, if I wanted to be a whistleblower, I could just go start my own anonymous blog, newalbanywhistleblower.blogspot.com, but that would be too easy.

How much are the signs?

Thanks for another blog column with respect to me. I am beginning to think you like me Roger.

I find it amusing that you feel that the traffic is calmer do to the current condition Spring St. is in.
You say that Spring St. is only two lanes but it has been more like four larger lanes sense on the street parking has been restricted for paving. If you haven't noticed that one then maybe you’ve noticed that the two center lanes are the size of the original three, contradicting USDOT research which makes the claim that narrower street lanes produce slower traffic.

I think that you and the other person perceive that the traffic is calmer do to "spatial disorientation". Spatial disorientation is the phenomenon when you are in a parked car and a car next to you begins to move you may have a sensation that you yourself are moving. Another example is if you are on an airplane and you are above the clouds and the cloud deck is at an angle it will give you the impression that the horizon is parallel to the cloud deck when it actually is not. Spatial Disorientation also is effected by distance. USDOT research shows that when lanes are narrower cars are brought closer together and drivers have the perception that they are going faster, therefore they slow down.
The current condition with regards to Spring St is the opposite. Sense there are no parked cars lining both sides of the street and, three lanes are now four, cars are further apart from each other giving the perception that traffic is calmer when in fact the actual car is at a greater velocity.

It would be a great opportunity for the New Albany Police to conduct a speed survey and find out if this is true.

As for a seizure it would be me laughing at the fact that the direction of traffic has nothing to do with calming, which you have validated on the "other" blog.

I do find it reinsuring that you are beginning to understand that you can have bike lanes and everything you desire with one-way traffic down Spring St. There is no reason we cannot have these things along with a more efficient main corridor through our city making it more inviting to visitors and residents. You may not think it but I do what all business, even yours to grow and prosper but I do not want to see priorities out of step or bad ideas implemented.

The New Albanian said...

Actually, I agree that disorientation is one reason for the calming, not in your anonymous flyboy sense, but in the sense that drivers accustomed to three lanes and auto-pilot driving must slow down and try to determine which lanes they should use.

That makes sense. The signs will be free of charge, Jace.

Wouldn't it be nice if Erika had the courage to permit comments, and RemCha had the clarity to be himself and comment on NAC, and then poor Shirley could have a blog about her issues without all the comments about everyone else's dysfunction?

FOS in its latest slop post writes that government should be efficient and not be wasteful.

I think we all can agree with that.

However, those are just generic statements that anyone could say about any organization.

Does FOS identify real areas of waste and inefficiency? NO! Does FOS provide real ideas for how to improve? NO.

FOS likes the NO'S so much you think they printed up a bunch of signed and splattered them all over town.

NO details. NO new ideas. NO clue how to make it better.

Fond Memories said...

Shirley, this is really difficult to comprehend.

Let me get this straight. It's okay to defame the Mayor, Roger, and everyone else under the sun. However, it's NOT okay to defame a fictitious person (in this case, "Professor Erik"), even when the post plainly states that the accusation isn't defamation because it's not about a real person.

Shirley, you have stated before that "of course everyone knows" Erik isn't a real person. Why does a fake person get better treatment than real people?

Anonymous said...

Why read it if you feel this way.

I read it because sometimes I need a good laugh. I also sometimes need to be reminded that not everyone is a rational thinking person who enjoys honest debate with real facts.

Shirley, you still have not answered the questions.

If someone can post anonymous and vague accusations of embezzlement and kickbacks against real people who we know, why can't I do the same about fake people like "Erik"?

What needs to be audited is the England Administration and the City of New Albany.

Just wait until you see the State Board of Accounts audit of our city.

It will be public record come the middle of September.

Maybe we need an audit of the Brewhouse on Bank, Board of Works and Redevelopment.

Currently the Feds and the Justice Department are auditing CHDO and that should get down right interesting, right Mr. Fulmore?

Maybe some former employees of Redevelopment who were fired, might just step up to the plate and tell all.

As they say, paybacks are hell.

The New Albanian said...

Egads, now I'm a division of city government?

Is that what you meant by "running the city like a business?"

If so, then you need to be willing to borrow money, because that's how businesses are run.

Well, then I guess we just got to face the truth.

Personal attacks against England and Roger are okay. Personal attachs against anyone else aren't.

Sounds like Shirley has decided this isn’t going to be a fair fight. She’s stacked the cards against the administration and in favor of anonymous attacks. I’m disappointed.

Anonymous said...

Justice Department are auditing CHDO

Justice Department? Really? Where'd you read that? Are you sure you have your facts straight? No doubt CHDO will be scrutinized, but by the Justice Department?

Besides, since when has an audit or an investigation been evidence of wrong doing?

Just like FOS. She's all for the constitution, EXCEPT for when it has to do with other's freedom to speech, or innocent until proven guilty, or proper voting districts.

Roger has his own blog and spews his vinom quite often. So you other anonymous posters here can spew your venom there. I compliment you Shirley for not wavering on your right to run your blog as you see fit.

Anonymous said...

No one on Roger’s blog is charging criminal acts in the irresponsible way seen here and on FOS. There is a difference.

Anonymous said...

There she goes again. Someone asks FOS a question and instead of answering it, she starts pointing the finger, crying “vinom.” “Roger did this, Roger did that.” I don’t care of Roger is the worst person on the planet, that doesn’t excuse the irresponsible posts made here and on FOS.

People on Roger’s blog frequently ask him to substantiate his claims. FOS seems to think FOS shouldn’t have to substantiate its claims.

If you have evidence of a crime, fine. If you have evidence England is a crook, let’s hear it. But we never hear the evidence. We only hear the accusation.

I dare you to find two posts on this site that state England is NOT crook. I know I’ve never taken a stand one way or another. I have no way of knowing he’s a crook because I’ve not seen any evidence.

Put up or shut up. I only believe evidence. I don’t believe those who have no evidence. I don’t believe rumors and I don’t believe FOS.

This truly is disheartening. Kings and Queens of imaginary realms seating regally at their padded, wheeled throwns in front of the cyberspace that is their kingdom.
Issuing decrees and proclaimations against those who would usurp from them their lands.
So they sit night after night, weaving yarns from their loom in the form of a keyboard, the necromantic land where a letter to the editor becomes a secret investigation by the FBI. A land where questions need not be answered of the Lords of house, but diversions cast by highlighting the faults of others.
One can not help but feel the slightest amount of pity for this sad and lonely life, where the reality of the world is replaced by the apocryphal province beget in the angry, lonely mind of a person who feels wronged by every action, every word, every breath of every person who does not subscribe to the same skewed sense of morality and expectations set loose in the real world across the web by this person who in real life is probably powerelss, overlooked, under appreciated, and to timid and afraid to speak out, which is why we see these posts carried out by anonymous persons, as try as they may the separation of their powerless life can not be differed from the need to remain anonymous because of the perceived abuse they have received from a parent, or spouse when they dare have an opinion.
Chances are this person has been the target of lawsuits, on the losing end, or failed political attempts with support so low that their ego was damaged beyond repair when they had seen virtually no support in the polls despite the promise from dozens of friends and family, who in the end obviously did not vote for them.

You know why else you can’t figure out where Professor Erik teaches? In addition to being fired from U OF L for embezzlement, he also made threatening statements to one of the Deans. He had a total meltdown and started spurring venom about his office having a secret camera in it and accused the Dean of being a secret CIA agent. I was there and saw it. It was really just very pathetic, how he was pepper sprayed by the police and carried off. Heard he spent two years in an institution before they finally let him out on condition that he stay on his meds. After the incident, the university started investigating grant funds he was handling and found the embezzlement. He also was using the political science’s department car for person use, driving it home to New Albany every day. How pathetic.

No, he didn't do prison time. The only jail time was while he was waiting for the trial before he worked out a deal with the prosecutors. I think I remember that right. I know he's still not allowed in U OF L's campus. Ironic thing is that he did all that academic research on conspiracy theories. Everyone just thought that was just his research area when he actually believed some of it. I mean, come on folks, everyone knows he put a man on the moon. So no prison, just community service, two years in the padded cell at the state hospital, and how he just blogs all day. Have you seen his blog about the 9/11 conspiracies? He think's CIA planted bombs in the world trade center as an insurance scheme. He's really loopy. Here's one of his 9/11 blogs.

I would declare the City caters to Developers (certain ones) in several different actions/ways.

1. Castlewood was suppose to be a retention pond and nothing was to built there (Storm Water Master Plan # ?). Remember the fiasco there?

2. Because of the EPA agreement and IDEM agreement, the City is only allowed "so many credits" to build (like we don't have enough empty buildings and houses in town.
The ratio of the cost of credits is 5 to 1. Guess who pays the 5, we do. We tried to get that changed and could not get the votes needed. We wonder why the Mayor could not increase the developer's credit costs to come into compliance with the taxpayers.

3. The City built a beautiful sewer plant, cost a lot of money, looks pretty coming in from Caesar's. The EPA stated the plant was really nice, now if the City could just get the sewage to the plant.

There are so many old, and many crushed, clay sewer lines. For the money we have paid on the plant, etc., we could have simply inlined every pipe in the City and in my humble opinion would not be in the mess we are today.

There is an underground river and a lot of us know about it. Remember the old wells at the old Purity Mill. Wells up and down Market so why is it going to cost us more with the fiasco on State St?

Georgetown HAS to get off of our lines because the City will not let them have any credits; we need them more. The pecking order would be "in City" first, outer fringe areas second and then Georgetown (never).

One of your employees told me at Conner's Place a couple of weeks ago that you guy those mussels for $10 for a huge bag full of them. Isn't that less money then what you give your customers?

Not even the people who work for you like you?

Speaking of your own blog NAC, why don't you just stay over there? For christ sakes you have your own blog and you still come here constantly and ramble about old time Rock'n Roll. Why don't you talk about The King Khan & BBQ Show, the stuff that is still relevant.
