By all accounts yesterday was a great day in America. Everyone seemed to be in a better mood and more energized. We all watched the Inauguration on line here at work (even the Republicans).
Last night I joined a few people at Studios for an evening of celebration. We watched a tape of the Inauguration and clapped and cheered and had a champagne toast after the President's speech.
For the first time in eight years I feel good about my country.

Agreed, it was a wonderful day. I watched almost all day and then when Conner got home, I replayed Mr. Obama's inauguration for him to watch.

I agree, it will be so great to watch a news conference without having to see Bush's smirking face as he talks about war, our economy in the tank, and other tragedies. He literally made me nausous.

It was a sad for America. This is the FIRST time in my adult life that I have not been proud of my country. Shame on all you voters who cheated and shame on all you voters that did not look past the message of "change"!

I am mourning as the country heads for the crapper.
We have a president where we don't know what country he was born in, which country his allegiants to, medical history, scedemic records, religion and who's pullomh his strings (anti American Soros).
We do know he has no experience, overcome no adversity, never served, was involved with Cocaine, campaigned as a socialist wealth redistributionist, has a voting record to the political left of socialist Bernie Sanders, attended an anti American, anti Semitic and closely tied Church to the Nation of Islam for 20 years, marched in Farrakhan's Million Man March, and was voted in for racist reasons by Hispanics and Blacks.
It was a very sad day for America.
They voted for Change...yet...no one seems to define what that means.
Change from what. Being the greatest nation in the world with the longest on going unchanged Republic in the history of Man Kind?
A country that believes all are created equal and that anyone has the freedom to succeed.
A nation where our foundation has been strong as out Founding Fathers built it until those they just put in are trying to weaken that foundation.
Now he promises rax breaks, but he sure didn't promise any money in your pocket , in fact you are going to have a lot less money for a very long time.
Total dispair because I'll be watching this country head in a direction; I and many others fought to defend against socialism, communism, and marxism.

I know Veterans who never, ever thought their drinking water would be owned by the Germans and they couldn't even get their voices heard at the State level.
I say it was a great day. If I had been there I would have been one of the millions roaring with praise when the helicopter took off with the last (hopefully) of the Bush-Cheney regime.

Since I have had nothing else to do these last two days I have been watching the news.
It looks as though the Obama Administation is off to a rocky start. Some of the members of Congress are blocking the stimulis package any way they can.
I don't agree with everthing he has planned but at least he is trying to do SOMETHING. Some newcasters are saying that this new "New Deal" won't work. I'm sure FDR got a lot of opposition too.
All I can say is if this plan puts millions of people back to work it has to be good. Let's give the guy a chance.

The difference between NAC and FOS.
a.) NAC does not put facts on his blog. Case in point: He's been ranting about redistricting, but didn't our council pass an ordinance which makes his blog his opinion not fact?
b.) If he does not like what you state he attacks you, so he's dealing with his opinion not based on fact.
c.) His vocabulary is slightly warped and full of vengeance
d.) I researched blog ,do you know what it says? You are to have very few links, it is a well known fact that what NAC post does not mean people are reading what he post. It just means people click on NAC for the links not his words.
e.) So I challenge NAC to take the links off and lets see who is reading his crap.
Fact is NAC has been after Councilman Coffey and Steve Price for years, which proves my point it's personal. At least FOS backs their postings up with laws, facts and what individuals say.
f.) When reading NAC do you like others shake your head and say: what the f**k is he even saying? Most of the time like I stated before it's his opinion and never much substance.

#1 I speak for myself, and I also put my name to what my opinions are.
#2 I have yet to be chewed up and spit out by anyone, reason being, I am what I am, I admit when I am wrong, and I stand by MY principles. I am not a blind lemming following any packs over any cliffs.
#3 I do not even consider myself a decent guy, I can be a real bastard in fact, I do what I have to do when I have to do it to get my job at hand accomplished.
#4 Roger was "chewed up and spit out" for publicly stating his opinions of who he sees things, which is the reason why Captain Anonymous blasted him so hard, yet I say something in defense of how he does things, not particularly he himself, but how he does things, and now I am being attacked. Transversely, I also consider VAB a very good friend of mine, as well as my family, and you cant get to polar opposite as those two, reason being, I dont have fences in my "neighborhood".

Hats off to Councilman Price for speaking out. It is ashame we don't have eight more like him on the council. I am convinced more and more he knows what he is talking about. Look at the guys voting record, he's fighting for us all.

With a lot of people losing their jobs how could anyone justify any increase in taxes or fees?
I have been asked by my employer to do with less this year. He cut my bonus to zero and has eliminated any raises for 2009.
How can England ask working people to live with less but don't require the same "sacrifice" from our elected officials? We all know it's coming.
Get ready citizens, England is going to start raising fees and taxes, and I am mad as hell, and my family is not going to take it anymore!
