I usually only discuss issues having to do with New Albany but this really got to me. I just read in the "Tribune" that David Camm's conviction has been overturned by the Supreme Court (Indiana).
Unbelievable.

I still believe that since Camm was a police officer they checked the evidence very carefully before they arrested him.
Boney was convicted on conspiracy as well as murder. Who did he conspire with? What was his motive? Maybe he needs a new trial also.

David Camm deserves a fair trial and only because of serious FACTUAL, POSSIBLY DELIBERATE IN "LOSING BONET'S DNA" and the other things mentioned on Gary Dunn's blog.
Whether I think he's guilty or not (and I'm leaning to conspiracy between the two), he still deserves a fair trial, but we can kiss a lot of things good by, unless Ed Clere can get the law passed Cochran was trying to where the State absorbs the costs of these capital murder trials.

Yeah, "Facts." But wait, Erik doesn’t answer most of the hard questions posed here. “Erik” has yet to explain why CFA does not demand accountability from the city council for it’s unconstitutional failure to redistrict. Erik has not yet taken a position on Diane Benedetti McCartin voting for her bother’s projects. Eric’s “Facts” some how don’t apply to honest numbers for two way street conversion or the alleged tapes proving England’s “corruption.” Recently “Erik” has demonstrated an utter failure to understand our court system and what makes a supreme court nominee qualified. “Erik” takes credit for a lot of writing that is not “his.” We’ve yet to hear that “Facts” about where “Erik” teaches or where “Erik” went to school.

We received this message today from Freedom of Speech Team, our activist friends in New Albany.
Our city is a train wreck about to happen. Our new mayor is our old mayor of 12 years ago. He is a crook and a bigger CROOK now. You cannot imagine what all he has done over the last 30 days- an $11,000 raise for himself. We now have 2 deputy mayors a 118 take home cars. In 16 years we have spend around $60 million dollars on sewers and we now have another $47 million to spend. They have been giving like $32 million dollars in 2007 in tax abatements. They have borrowed $5.3 million from sewer utility to cover our general fund and never paid it back. We have been to the city prosecutor, Indiana atty. general and even the governor and been told is too political.

My sister is the assessor for our county. I worked for her for 5 years. During the entire time I worked there she was cutting peoples' property taxes to get re-elected.
Her first deputy works doing income taxes for 3 months out of the year. She not only collects a salary FROM doing taxes but a nice check from City. It took me 2 years to figure out what was going on and then I started making copies of time sheets and everything I could get my hands on. I mean boxes of paper work.
Well to make a long story short, my sister came to my new home (I purchased Sept. 2003 and moved into November 2003) on Martin Luther King day 2004 and handed me my termination papers. And told me she didn't have to give me an excuse to terminating me. So we got a bunch of citizens and current employees together and created Freedom Of Speech, IN 2005. Of course I am the only person who knows who everyone is. People know I'd not tell if someone put a gun to my head. Our cars have been trashed, gasoline poured on my porch. Spray painted "Bitch " on my garage door. On my birthday there was a box on my porch wrapped in a telephone cord with a bullet tied to it. Of course I deny being with Freedom of Speech.
My entire family has turned against me because I promised my dad before he died if she ever fired me to take her down. Well, I have been sitting with all this information, video tapes, time sheets. They also collected comp time and are making a fortune in local government.
I couldn't afford to fight her over being fired. I could not afford an attorney. This entire town is a house of cards. It would be so easy to expose this corruption and all if someone would help. I have even considered going to the FBI. You folks think you have it bad you ought to be living here. We have cops following us everywhere.
They are playing a shell game with our city money. Our state board of accounts audits is down right criminal for 4 years. Employees have been overpaid, our parks department ran up a $10,000 cell bill in one month. State Board of Acccounts tell us they have no power.
We don't have money to fight them. People are scared and won't even attend council meetings. I wish someone had some ideas or answers how we can fight back. We're the little people, working class citizens and have no recourse. We just keep plugging along but what can we do?? I'd be willing to go into protective custody to blow the whistle on these crooked "bastards".....

I would submit that there is a significant difference between taking a pen, a paper clip or an odd widget from your office, and taking what was described as paper box after paper box full of photo copies of government documents.
Lets say at the time this occurred, the "little people" of New Albany by way of taxes were paying 12 cents per copy made, and being so trust worthy and honest to report that is was paper box after paper box of copied documents, a standard 20# paper box holds 5000 sheets of paper, that is $600 in stolen property per box taken. At the very least that is theft (IC 35-43-4)
Since she was an employee of the government the act of taking such documents falls under §151 Official misconduct of the uniform government code (IC 35-44-1-2)
, a class d felony, in essence becoming EXACTLY what CFA bitches about non-stop, a government employee who abuses the trust of the citizens whom they work for, unlawfully takes what is not theirs to take, , then creates a scheme to cover the REAL truth behind the wrongs that they did in order to bring down a political adversary.

Actaully, I never did make any copies of anything in the police department.
What copies I did make for the Auxiliary Police, to disperse to the other reserve officers at monthly meetings was done at my own home, on my own all in one printer, on my own paper, and I never even claimed a tax deduction for the donation.
I paid for my uniform out of my pocket, paid for my gun, ammo, in fact at the time I was on there, we had to pay for everything out of our pockets, with the exception of the citation booklet we were issued, training and fuel. Some of us even paid for our own patrol cars, lights, sirens, decals etc.

IF the person mentioned did in fact do what they said in their own words they did, that constituted official misconduct, and theft of government property, both of which may be viewed as felonies.
IF the person in question did not do these things, and made up the story, then the person in question is even less trust worthy than a thief, because every single rant and rave, every blame and accusation is based on a lie, and makes years of plagairism, slander, misreprensentation of facts, distortion of circumstance nothing more than a personal political agenda and tantamount to nothing more than the inability to let go of a gudge because they were fired, in which case will do nothing more than showcase a definate case of immaturity and instability.
For once, answer a question directly, which is it: Official Misconduct under the States uniform government code, or undocumented, unprovable rantings of a disgruntled former employee of the City who just can not let the fact go that the person was fired by a family member.
